- NHL is the 5th most common cancer in the UK - it is the 5th most common cancer in males and the 7th in females.
- Around 11,860 people were diagnosed with NHL in the UK in 2008 with around 7 in 10 of all cases in people aged 60 and over.
- In recent times, the NHL incidence rates in Britain are more doubled since 1970's. In the UK around 95 children under the age of 15 are diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma each year.
- There were 74,000 new cases of NHL in the EU and 356,000 globally in 2008.
